Rose Wanderlust

Ciao!

Have you ever reached a point in your life, where you're just like, what the hell is really going on??
I usually get those moods in November and December and you might ask why. School, responsibilities, tests, life in general...I have learned in the past 17 years that change is good, whether it's good or bad. You are always able to adapt to certain differences and embrace them. Questionable, but amiable.
Ten years ago, I had ashy blonde/brown hair. Five years ago I had red hair. Last year I randomly decided to become a blondie, but I had orange hair at first. And now? I decided to go back to black. Kidding! I can't event tell what kind of hair colour I have at the moment. Something between light brown and ashy blonde...and I've also cut my hair. Short hair don't care, right?
I've pranked my friends three times this year, saying I've cut my hair short - and when I actually do it, they don't believe me!

Back to my responsibilities. I have an important math test on Friday and I planned on studying for the whole weekend, day and night. It's currently 9pm and I haven't accomplished anything.
I'm not so sure what this post was going to be about, probably because I'm feeling super hyped about life in general. So yeah, I just wanted to let you know that I've cut my hair. I bought some pretty awesome stuff today, expect another post tomorrow noon!

If you follow me on instagram, then you already know that I visited Sweden!
Me and my friend Ana visited Stockholm and we fell in love with it. We were there for four days, walking everyday for about 9 hours to get the best possible experience.

Stockholm's architecture reminds me of European's architecture - everything is old and lovely.
The city is actually built on many islands, so it's known as the Scandinavian version of Venice. I'd like to mention the hospitality and kindness! Every time me and Ana (apparently) looked lost, someone would notice us and asked us if we need any help. Shoutout to a random grandma who actually walked with us to the museum!

Have I mentioned how sunny it was? It brightened your day immediately, as soon as you stepped outside. It was a bit cold at times, but we're used to it. One bad thing about Stockholm is that everything is expensive. Well, for me it wasn't that big of a difference, but if you're coming from the US or some place that isn't Europe, you might find the prices strangely high.
We didn't eat a lot because we were saving money, so I usually ate three bananas, two apples a sandwich and a soup in one day.

We were staying at Interhostel, which was a pleasant hostel. You had free coffee and tea every morning, otherwise you had the whole kitchen to yourself. While me and Ana were making instant soups for dinner (Ramen), some other guests were making dinners as if they were working in a 5-star restaurant. Luck was with us at all times, because we were placed in a room with four other girls. We arrived at 2am on the 15th of October and I think we woke everyone up. We actually arrived at 11pm and then we had a bus which took us from Skavsta airport to Stockholm. I woke up at 1am when everyone was 'jumping out' of the bus and then it took us nearly an hour to find the hostel - thought the hostel was only 10 minutes away! I hate google maps.

As I was saying, we were in a room with four other girls. For some reason, every night a different Chinese (or Japanese) girl came and they all slept in the same bed - which left us confused. You would say goodnight to a girl with a red suitcase and then the next morning she was gone, which was normal. After exploring for the whole day you would come back to the hostel, to your room - and there was the same girl (or so we thought) with a blue suitcase, sitting on the same bed!
Anyhow, we met this crazy funny dutch girl Pam! She's from The Netherlands, but studies in Finland and she's currently traveling (right now I think she's in Russia). She has a blog too and you should check it out!

The summary of this post is: I wanna live in Stockholm someday, it's my favourite city. I actually prefer it to London. I like the vibe in the city, no one's rushing, and everyone is dressed so elegant.

I think the title itself is pretty self-explanatory, haha! I've decided to start making blog art again - mostly banners for your blog or youtube account. My style is pretty simple, elegant and classy. But if you wish anything else, make sure to tell me!
Examples:

 1.

2.

3.

BEFORE WRITING ASKING ME FOR A BANNER...

If you want a banner, please send me an email (iamkarinm@gmail.com), with a title/subject: Blog Art. In your email, make sure to tell me:
- if you have any ideas, 'role models' when it comes to banners
-what should it say on the banner (title, description, the link to the blog...)
-preferred text font&colour&size
-send me photos, if you want them on your banner

I'll get back to you in few hours, two days at most.

AFTER YOU GOT YOUR BANNER...

I'm doing these FOR FREE. But I do want few a things from you:)
When you're satisfied with your banner and you've decided to use it, make sure to mention me in of your blog posts (a link to my blog), follow me on Bloglovin and share this tweet.

If you have any questions...email or tweet me! :)

I swear to you that I'm not a chameleon, though my skin looks different in every picture!
Anyhow, I'm going for a lunch with my dad so I decided that I'm gonna make myself look pretty today. I mean, I'm pretty confident with my "no-makeup" look, I just love using makeup! I've been sick to death for the past two days. I drank 8 cups of tea yesterday (am I British now!?), so I figured out that I should move the microwave into my room.
I'm currently thinking my room theme - which isn't fall. Is it okay to use candles? I mean, it's almost October which mean it's almost November which mean it's almost halloween..
Overall, I've been doing okay-ish. I've been reading quite a lot, about two books a week! My current favourites are the highlander romance stuff or just historical romance books in general. I read them on my iPad, though I haven't payed a cent for them (yes, I'm a pirate. I download that stuff. Why? I'm broke!). My next goal is to read the whole Harry Potter series! My current favourite books are: The Selection (series), Outlander, The Guardian (Margaret Mallory), Bloodlines (series by Richelle Mead), His Stolen Bride (Shelly Thacker), The New Girl(series, Tracie Puckett). Here are some books I am going to read very, very soon: Harry Potter, Fantastic beasts &where to find them, Stone and the Sea (A.L.Jackson), Kiss Deception, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, The Rest Falls Away, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Red Garden (Alice Hoffman), Paper Towns, Georgiana Darcy's Diary (Anna Elliot), Reached (Ally Condie), Love Beyond Time (Bethany Claire), The big book of time travel.

Speaking about makeup! If you want to see my current favourite makeup products, go and check my new video! Make sure to like and subscribe and please tell me if you have your own youtube account.
Have I ever told you that I absolutely hate wearing jeans? I think blue jeans of any kind make my legs look like I'm a hippo. I always preferred black jeans. Well, I prefer everything that is black. The more you know, haha!

I was also thinking about making a Q&A video. Would ya'll be interested? Please let me know in the comments section :)

G-bye!

Once upon a time (actually a week ago), my friend texted me saying: "Wanna go to Sweden for 70€?". And I was like yes, yes, yes!! Though we are both 17 years old and hella broke, but you know, why not. If any of you guys are living somewhere near Stockholm, I would love to meet you and go for a coffee or something!
Make sure to check out my video and subscribe if you like it! :)

Even though I promised at least a dozen times to post more...well, we all know how that ends.
Anyhow! I'm super excited to tell you that I'm going to film my first youtube video tomorrow! I can't really tell you what's it going to be about, but I'm sure you're gonna like it.
I'm also back home! I arrived about three weeks ago and I was super lazy. I had my first math test/exam today, and I was super stressed about it. I was studying for 2 weeks and I had a tutor - but I was freaking out today waaaay too much, and I think I had an anxiety attack. Well, let's hope for the best.

I would probably still be all depressed and worried about my math exam result, but my good friend Anna texted me saying: 'Wanna go to Stockholm next month?'. And I got super excited, forgot about my worries in a split of a second. I love travelling, I've been to Canada, France, Italy, Croatia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Greece, Tunisia and the UK, but I wanna see the whole world! I recently got into Shut Up and Go - it's written by two best friends, Joanna and Damon. They also run a youtube channel, and I find them super hilarious!

Some major things are going to change in my life very soon. Well, not 'so soon'. I'm fully committed to the idea 'Moving my ass to Scotland and star studying something really cool'.
So me and my mom decided to visit few universities next year (Glasgow or Edinburgh, are you guys from there?). And also, our school is planing a trip to the Netherlands (Amsterdam) in April - count me in!

So, the point of this post was...literally no idea. Perhaps just a check-in on my life? So, long story short, I'm starting a youtube account, probably going to Sweden and I'm going to do stuff that make me happy!

G-bye for now! ;)

As some of you might know, I have a weird obsession with eyeshadows. When I find my way to the makeup section, I always go for the eyeshadows. I currently have four eyeshadow palettes from Urban Decay, Forever 21, BH Cosmetics, and of course, Too Faced.
I went shopping with my friend Lauryn, who I met in Canada (Moving to Canada?), and we had to go to the local Sephora store!
I've heard of Too Faced before, but first, I went straight for the Urban Decay section. I was ready to buy the Naked 2 palette, and then I found this little thingy! I still remember looking at Lauryn and asking her: "Should I buy it?" and she obviously replied "You should!".
For the past few months I've been using eyeshadows more than ever, and I ditched the eyeliner! I love using different shades for red/orange/gold on my eyelids, so this is why this eyeshadow palette was perfect for me.Oh, it actually smells like chocolate! I  use the shade white chocolate as my base, and then I apply champagne truffle to my inner corner/tear duct. I use salted caramel or amaretto for my crease and I use hazelnut or creme brulee or marzipan or haute chocolate for my middle part of the eyelid. If I'm going out, I use cherry cordial for the lower lash line and outer corner.

If you're still thinking about buying this palette, stop immediately and go buy it! I love it so, so, so much. If you would like me to do a tutorial with this palette, make sure to comment below!

Hello beautiful people!

It's been a while since I posted something! Well, to be exact, it's been more than a month! I've been exploring Toronto (more like the stores...), watching TV shows, writing my own book and doing whatever the girls I'm taking care of wanted! But now I've decided to get back into the blogger thingy and I really want to post as often as possible because I know I won't have any time when school starts.

Those of you who are following me on Instagram do know that I'm spending the summer in Toronto, Ontario, freaking Canada!!

I would love to catch up on YOUR newest blog posts, so please comment down below if I should visit your blog! :)

I recon it's been a while since I posted something! I believe I've gotten quite sloppy at the whole blogging thing. The past two months have been quite harsh on me, and I simply couldn't find any time or even an idea for what to post.
And then I realised I missed blogging and talking to you! I love reading your comments and your blogs, giving me new ideas. Few things have changed since my last post - for example, my makeup routine. I've grown tired of makeup tutorial based on photos, it's easier to film the whole thing.
I know I said I wanted to open a youtube account when the summer starts, but now I was thinking about opening it sooner.

Would you like me to do a video makeup routine on this look? Please let me know in the comments section:)
